Hawai’i Through the Lens

Celebrating Hawaiʻi Island through the eyes and stories of local photographers.

Meet the Photographer:
Cody Yamaguchi

CAPTURING HAWAIʻI MEANS CARING FOR IT. For Cody, photography is a way to share a local perspective and remind others to respect nature and mālama the ʻāina. “Nature calls the shots out here and you can’t force a photograph.”

Every hike, eruption and fleeting moment has taught him to slow down, read the weather and let the land reveal what it wants to show.
